10 MINUTE MEDITATION TIPS

In a fast paced world where the mind has become an ever working device how can anyone meditate?

Meditation my friends is a lot simpler than you think and you may be doing without even realizing.

If you are one of many who claim there is no time for meditation I hear you. However I am here to tell you that you can meditate for 10 to 15 minutes daily without changing your routine much. All it takes is some adjustments doing what you do daily. Once you see the benefits of the 10 minute meditation practise I will suggest below, then you can choose whether or not to spend a bit more time.

10 minute meditation tips

  • Opt to take the bus or train to work. Avoid checking your phone or laptop. Instead choose some nice relaxing music. This of course is optional. Close your eyes and focus your attention on your breath. Inhale through the nose and exhale through nose. Do this for at least 10 minutes or for the duration of your journey if longer.Take a shower just before bed. Light a couple of tea lights and switch off any other lights in your bathroom. You may wish to play some relaxing music as well.

  • Take your shower as per usual. For better effect visualize that the water is cleansing away all your stresses from the day. Get out of the shower and dress as per usual. Still having only the light from your tea light candles. This works like magic if you go to bed immediately.

  • Take a short 10-15 minute walk around the block or closest park ( you may practice this on your way to work or when returning if you have to do some walking). Take deep breaths and exhale. Observe the scenery around you. Pay attention to your breathing as you inhale and exhale. Lie down for a couple of minutes or have a shower when you return from your walk.
